Voters See Dion As Blank Canvas -- With Potential?

...But only if you're a writer for the Canadian Press...or Bruce Anderson. (From the "Only ten easy payments of $29.99!" crowd.)

OTTAWA -- Canadians are optimistic that Stephane Dion will turn out to be a good Liberal leader and potentially an excellent prime minister, a new poll suggests.

The Decima Research poll, made available exclusively to The Canadian Press, suggests that Dion is still an unknown quantity to many Canadians.
Nevertheless, 43 per cent said he has "the potential to be an excellent prime minister of Canada one day.''

And almost one-third -- including roughly one-third of NDP, Bloc Quebecois and Green party supporters -- would like to see Dion win the next election.

"Voters are mostly showing an open mind towards Mr. Dion, with more optimism than cynicism about how he will turn out,'' said Decima CEO Bruce Anderson.

Let's see how this article reads with a little re-writing - to reflect reality.

OTTAWA -- Canadians are not optimistic that Stephane Dion will turn out to be a good Liberal leader - nor do they believe that he has what it takes to make an excellent prime minister, a new poll suggests.

The Decima Research poll, made available exclusively to The Canadian Press, suggests that Dion is still an unknown quantity to many Canadians.
Overall, 57 per cent said he does not have "the potential to be an excellent prime minister of Canada one day.''

According to the poll, over two-thirds would not like to see Dion win the next election.

"Most voters do not seem to have a favourable opinion of Mr. Dion, with more cynicism than optimism about how he will turn out,'' said Decima CEO Bruce Anderson.
It's all in how you frame it.
