Think He'll Run?

FREDERICTON -- Bernard Lord has quietly bowed out of public life, saying an announcement on his new job in the private sector will be made in the near future.

Lord isn't saying where he will be working, but there is speculation the former New Brunswick premier will be joining a law firm.
Think we'll be lucky enough to see Lord run for the CPC in the next federal election? I certainly hope so; Lord is a man of great intellectual and political capabilities, and would likely be add heft in organizing policy initiatives for the party. His joining as an MP (and possible cabinet minister?) would be good news for the CPC, especially for the party's fortunes in the maritimes and the Atlantic, as well as an excellent gain for the country. It seems he may seek employment in the private sector for the time being, but I think we'll be seeing more of Lord in the coming years, possibly as a policy advisor or strategist, if not an MP. You heard it here first, ladies and gents...
