WHOIS behind makeparliamentwork.ca?

CTV has an article on the Blogosphere's reaction to the current electoral brouhaha (Props to Sandie from Crux-of-the-Matter for getting listed!). While perusing the article, I noticed the following:

"...Not to be outdone, supporters of the potential coalition government have also rallied online. Just like "rallyforcanada.ca," an opposing website, "makeparliamentwork.ca," doesn't say who is behind the site. But it does give the locations of a number of rallies its members can attend in cities across the country."

Following up on my discovery that the NDP is behind 62percentmajority.ca, I performed a simple WHOIS look-up on the the web address. It took me less than a minute to find out. Would you like to know who's behind makeparliamentwork.ca?

The Canadian Union of Public Employees.
You know, CUPE. That left-wing, NDP supporting labour group?

The real question, though, is why a lowly blogger with no journalism credentials whatsoever is doing a better job than the mainstream media in investigating the facts. It took me less than a minute to find out; the CTV staff apparently couldn't be bothered.
